Before each and every game, Bob Golic, the former Browns defensive tackle, would go into the crowd at Cleveland Municipal Stadium and find his dad.
“I don’t know if it was a ritual,” he said, “or just made me feel good.”
In this week’s Throwback Thursday, Golic spoke with ClevelandBrowns.com about that tradition and what it meant.
At some point, members of the Dawg Pound realized the man whom Golic would visit before every game was his father.
“And so they made a spot for him,” Golic said. “‘Hey, move! Mr. Golic’s coming!’ And so it was always the same thing, I’d go up and give him a hug or a kiss.
