CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Browns have one of the most loyal fan bases in sports. But even the most true fan's devotion is tested by the not-so-good things they see happening on the field this year.
Thursday night, the not-so-good thing that caused me to raise the white flag for the game, if not for the season, was the offside penalty on Randy Starks in the second quarter that enabled the Bengals to get a touchdown instead of turning the ball over to the Browns on downs.
That penalty summed up the Browns play this year and dashed any high hopes for the rest of this year.
