The Cleveland Browns parted ways with receiver C.J. Board and linebacker Justin Currie, waiving them from their injured reserve on Tuesday.
Currie and Board were waived with injury designations on Aug. 31, then went unclaimed and reverted to the team’s injured reserve on Sept. 2.
Both Board and Currie both looked promising in preseason and throughout training camp until getting injured in the Browns’ preseason finale against Detroit. Board left with an unspecified shoulder injury in the second quarter, while Currie suffered a knee injury in the fourth quarter after leading the team in snaps and tackles in the game.
