CLEVELAND, Ohio – So it's come to this: comparing Jimmy Haslam's Browns to other teams that finished NFL seasons without a win.
FiveThirtyEight, which forecasts NFL games using Elo ratings (a measure based on head-to-head completion and quality of opponent), employed ESPN's expected points metric, to rank the Browns' offense seventh worst and its special teams eighth worst in the league.
Not surprisingly, it rates the Browns defense the worst in the NFL.
Only three NFL teams since 1960 have finished a season winless. The 1960 Cowboys played a 12-game schedule and managed a tie.
