Jordan Poyer’s been preparing for this moment since the first day of offseason workouts.
The third-year safety will be on the field early and often Sunday at Baltimore in place of Pro Bowl ballhawk Tashaun Gipson, who was officially ruled out Friday with an ankle injury.
“My confidence is high,” Poyer said. “I'm excited for the opportunity to go out and play and compete. It's hard to replace a guy like Tashaun Gipson, Pro Bowler, X amount of picks. I just need to go out there, do my job, play confident and it will be OK.
