Four close friends achieve glory together in one of the world’s most alluring professions.
It’s the plot of the TV series-turned-movie Entourage, but it’s also the story of Tallmadge native Dave Ziegler and three of his former John Carroll University football teammates.
“When you step back and think about it, it’s a pretty cool thing,” Ziegler said by phone.
Ziegler, 39, is the director of pro personnel for the New England Patriots. He, offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, a Canton native, director of player personnel Nick Caserio, a Lyndhurst native, and assistant quarterbacks coach Jerry Schuplinski, a Garfield Heights native, have helped the Patriots earn their ninth Super Bowl berth.
