BEREA, Ohio -- Browns rookie safety Kai Nacua got a taste of the business side of the NFL earlier this season. He initially made the 53-man roster only to get waived the next day. He was back on the 53-man roster by the opener.
Sunday, he could make the first start of his career in place of injured safety Jabrill Peppers, who hasn't practiced all week with a knee injury and is officially listed as doubtful.
If he does, in fact, start, he'll do it with his late father in mind, who died at age 45 before Nacua's senior year in high school due to complications with diabetes.
