Browns quarterback Robert Griffin III could be out for a while with the left shoulder injury he suffered Sunday late during a 29-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the regular-season opener, FoxSports.com reported Monday.
ESPN reported Monday the injury is "potentially serious."
The Browns have yet to provide an updated on Griffin, who was scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday. Coach Hue Jackson is set to address the media at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
If Griffin can't play Sunday in the home opener against the Baltimore Ravens, veteran Josh McCown will get the nod.
McCown faced the Ravens twice last season and went 1-1.
