The Cleveland Browns have a deep roster but a couple of injuries quickly impact any team in the NFL. For the Browns, having both Jedrick Wills and Jack Conklin on the PUP list to start training camp has forced backups to play bigger roles while trying to install their new offense.
While GM Andrew Berry brought OT Hakeem Adeniji in during NFL free agency, James Hudson III has primarily filled in as the starting left tackle so far in training camp. Perhaps that is one of the reasons QB Deshaun Watson won’t play in the preseason opener.
