The Cleveland Browns plan to exercise the fifth-year options on defensive end Myles Garrett and tight end David Njoku.
That is according to ESPN’s Jake Trotter:
Garrett was the No. 1 overall selection in the 2017 NFL Draft. In 37 games, he has posted 30.5 sacks and become one of the league’s best defensive ends. He had 10 sacks in 10 games last season, putting him on pace to break Reggie Camp’s franchise record of 14 sacks in a single season. That pursuit came to an end when Garrett was suspended for the final six games of the season following an altercation with Pittsburgh quarterback Mason Rudolph.
