The initial Cleveland Browns 53-man roster didn’t totally make sense. Keeping four quarterbacks and only two each at running back and tight end was abnormal and didn’t seem sustainable. HC Kevin Stefanski gave an obvious answer, without a lot of information, as to why the roster was set up that way.
While the Browns didn’t make any additions via the waiver wire process, they are reportedly adding a tight end to their practice squad who was a third-round pick last season. To some extent, that addresses one of the issues.
