CLEVELAND, Ohio -- After seven seasons in Cleveland and healthy for the first time in over a year, cornerback Joe Haden will be playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers when they come to town on September 10, thanks to analytics.
Due to make $11.1 million this year, the Browns asked Haden to take a $4 million pay cut. When he refused, Cleveland released him and the Steelers were there to pick up the former Pro Bowler on the cheap.
Analytics would argue that based on his performance the last two years, Haden wasn't worth a $11.
