Massillon High School graduate Gareon Conley sounded as if he were ready to write an outline for an essay when a reporter asked the Ohio State product what qualities a cornerback must possess to convince NFL teams he should become a first-round draft pick.
“He has to be able to handle all the challenges that he faces,” Conley said this past weekend at the NFL Scouting Combine. “He has to be able to overcome a lot of things, and he has to be mentally focused and just show that he’s confident and he attacks the competition.”
Well, Conley certainly attacked the competition Monday as defensive backs worked out on the final day of the combine.
