Odell Beckham Jr. excused from Cleveland Browns practice for 2nd straight day amid WR's uncertain future, sources say

The Browns have excused Odell Beckham Jr. from practice for the second straight day Thursday, league sources tell ESPN, as the team continues to evaluate his future in Cleveland.

Beckham's representation was in discussions with Browns general manager Andrew Berry on Wednesday on potential next steps for the unhappy wide receiver, who is under contract for two more seasons but has no guaranteed money left on his deal. The NFL's trade deadline was this past Tuesday, so Cleveland cannot trade Beckham until the start of the 2022 league year.

Beckham was told not to attend Wednesday's practice one day after his father posted a video on Instagram highlighting times when quarterback Baker Mayfield didn't throw the ball to Beckham when he was open.
