The Cleveland Browns had a foolproof plan on offense for five years beginning in the 2018 season.
When nothing else worked, the Browns could hand the ball to running back Nick Chubb and good things would happen.
Thousand-yard seasons, big runs, and touchdowns were commonplace as Chubb firmly established himself as the best running back in the NFL and arguably the second-best running back in franchise history.
However, that all came crashing down in Week 2 of the 2023 season when Chubb’s knee exploded following a hit from Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick.
