The trade deadline passed quietly Tuesday afternoon with very little happening.
The only deal: the Tampa Bay Buccaneers sent cornerback Johnthan Banks to the Detroit Lions for a conditional 2018 seventh-round pick. Label the Bucs a slight winner in the deal because they got an asset for a player they planned to release.

The 49ers didn't get the right trade value for wide receiver Torrey Smith. Good for Kelly. He has virtually nothing at wide receiver as it is.
