Myles Garrett makes 'huge progress' with high ankle sprain and is 'close,' says Hue Jackson

BEREA, Ohio -- Myles Garrett shed his walking boot Wednesday and joined the bike brigade at practice.

It wasn't practice, but it was progress.

"Close,'' Jackson said of Garrett's status for returning to the playing field from his high ankle sprain.

But it doesn't seem like it will be this week against the Colts.

"Now, I'm not going to say that,'' said Jackson. "Let's just see where he is, but he's getting there. There's huge progress that's been made. Hopefully we'll see where he is.''

Garrett suffered the injury in practice on Sept. 6 in a freak accident in which a teammate fell on it, and high ankle sprains are typically a four to six week injury.
