BEREA, Ohio -- With Browns owner Jimmy Haslam seeking answers for the 2-8 record, Mike Pettine still believes his program is on the right track.
"Do these things happen overnight?,'' he said Monday. "It's difficult the way the league is set up just to turn it quick, but nobody wants to hear that. We're in an age of instant gratification and win now and we all understand that. You can be headed in the right direction in a lot of different phases of the program, but when you're not winning that's what we're all ultimately judged on.
"And as I've said before, this is a pass-fail league and we've failed a heck of a lot more times than we have passed and that's the bottom line.
