BEREA: Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel said all the right things Wednesday about trying to close a chapter of his life and move forward.
I’m sure he thinks he’s trying. He has taken positive steps, like moving from his downtown high rise to a west side golf community and inviting a former high school coach to live with him. I’m rooting for Manziel to overcome whatever issues sent him to rehab for more than 10 weeks this offseason.
But even while Manziel admitted his Johnny Football persona overtook him and “the money sign will not be back,” he hasn’t totally divorced that persona.
