Speaking at the NFL Rookie Symposium in Berea on Tuesday, Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota, who was selected No. 2 overall, was asked how much Kevin O'Connell helped him as he made the transition from college to the NFL:
"He did a great job for me. He provided me the information that I needed to hopefully make my transition [to the NFL] a little easier. He helped me with my 3-to-5-to-7 step drops; he did a great job."
If you recall, O'Connell worked as a private quarterbacks coach to Mariota, and right after he finished his obligation, the Cleveland Browns hired him as their quarterbacks coach.
