Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield set a franchise record by completing 21 consecutive passes during Sunday’s 37-34 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Mayfield shattered the previous franchise record of 16, which was held by Bernie Kosar and Kelly Holcomb.
After starting the game 0-of-5 with an interception, Mayfield completed 22-of-23 of his next passes for 297 yards and 3 touchdowns, including the first ever game-winning drive of his career. Pro Football Focus also graded him very highly this past Sunday, and Mayfield is now among the league leaders in touchdown passes, if you can believe that.
