Jim Donovan, a mainstay on Cleveland television since the mid-1980s and the radio voice of the Cleveland Browns since 1999, will soon be walking away from one of those responsibilities.
Donovan announced on Thursday that he will retire from his daily role at WKYC on June 10, but will continue to serve as the radio play-by-play voice of the Browns.

It has been almost one year since Donovan announced that he was dealing with a recurrence of leukemia, which forced him to take a leave of absence after Cleveland’s Week 1 game in 2023.
