CLEVELAND, Ohio - A Cleveland Browns jersey worn by Jim Brown has sold at auction for $78,000.
The jersey, sold via New Jersey-based Robert Edward Auctions, was among 2,780 items that sold with proceeds topping $10 million. It is estimated to be from 1962-63.
MEARS - Memorabilia Evaluation and Research Services - gave the jersey its highest rating. The No. 32 jersey still has its original crotch strap. The straps were often removed, the auction house says.
Reserve bid was $25,000, and the auction house estimated it would go for a minimum $50,000.
