BEREA, Ohio -- Browns rookie safety Jabrill Peppers popped up on the injury report this week with an ankle injury. He didn't practice on Wednesday and was limited on Thursday.

Friday, though, brought good news as Peppers is expected to play against the Bengals on Sunday in Cincinnati.

"I just hurt it during the (Jacksonville) game," Peppers said.

He said that he thought he rolled the ankle and it ended up being a little worse than that, but he's ready to go.

"In this league, you're going to play hurt," Peppers said.

The Browns will be without wide receiver Sammie Coates with knee and ankle injuries and defensive back Derron Smith is doubtful with a knee injury.
