Mention the name Gregg Williams to ESPN NFL analyst Matt Bowen, then turn on the recorder and sit back.
Bowen takes it from there.
"I loved playing for the man," Bowen said of the Cleveland Browns' new defensive coordinator in a phone interview Thursday.
Bowen, a former safety, played two seasons for Williams when the pair was in Washington in 2003 and 2004. In '03, Bowen started every game. Two years was enough for Bowen to give a frank and glowing assessment as Williams takes over Hue Jackson's defense.
"What he taught me about the game of football, I think it was priceless," Bowen said.
