Griffin was drafted No. 2 overall by the Redskins in 2012 after trading for the pick with the Rams. The Browns were also trying to acquire the pick.
Griffin was Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2012, but didn’t continue to play at that high level and was eventually benched in Washington.
Robert Griffin III, who signed with the Browns on Thursday, will become the latest Heisman Trophy winner to play in Cleveland. His predecessor, Johnny Manziel, also makes the list.
