DETROIT, Michigan -- The series of plays at the end of the first half on Sunday that cost the Browns, at the very least, three points was the endpoint of a chain reaction that started all the way back with 2:45 left in the first quarter. That's when the Browns burned their first timeout after a six-yard run by Isaiah Crowell.
The Browns used their second timeout with 4:11 left in the second quarter, following a five-yard run by Kizer.
When the fateful drive started at 3:55 left in the half from their own 25-yard line after a strip of Seth DeValve led to a Lions touchdown, the Browns had two stoppages left to use: the two-minute warning and their only remaining timeout.
