BEREA: New Browns coach Hue Jackson seemed to put the pedal to the metal while discussing the future of troubled quarterback Johnny Manziel during a series of recent radio interviews, but head of football operations Sashi Brown tried his best Thursday to pump the brakes.
“What we expect is Johnny to have a good offseason and come back and be ready to go,” Brown told local writers before his introductory news conference. “We’re not in any panic to make any decision one way or another on him. He understands what’s ahead of him and what he needs to do to have a career in this league and with the Browns.
