Browns rookie strong safety Jabrill Peppers is one of eight players from this year’s NFL Draft class who remains unsigned.
A person familiar with the situation confirmed Monday the holdup is over the amount of guaranteed money Peppers will receive in his four-year contract. The deal will include a fifth-year team option because he was selected in the first round (No. 25 overall).
ProFootballTalk.com first reported the key sticking point in negotiations between the Browns and Peppers’ agent, Todd France of Creative Artists Agency.
Of the eight unsigned picks, five were top-10 selections. Oakland Raiders cornerback Gareon Conley (No.
