CHICAGO -- A group of Browns players again locked arms during the playing of the national anthem and stepped forward in unison behind the rest of the team on Thursday night prior to their preseason game against the Bears. It continued the progression the players have used as they've worked to find the best way to express themselves.
"They've handled it really well," Executive Vice President of Football Operations Sashi Brown said prior to the game on Thursday night. "Professionally, thoughtfully, probably as thoughtfully as any others have. These are guys that mean well. We really push our guys to be active and conscious about the communities they live in and what goes on around them that might be even larger than football.
