Gregg Williams, Freddie Kitchens make case to coach Browns in 2019

BEREA, Ohio -- With every win, Gregg Williams builds his case to remain as the Cleveland Browns' head coach.

With every touchdown pass Baker Mayfield throws, Freddie Kitchens builds his case to remain as the team's offensive coordinator, with some fans and analysts lobbying to include Kitchens on the list of head-coaching possibilities.

Going 4-2 with a team that was 2-5-1 when Williams took over speaks loudly, as does Kitchens’ playcalling and Mayfield’s performance.

The Browns, though, are headed to a coaching search after the season ends. General manager John Dorsey isn’t commenting publicly about his candidates, but he no doubt has had a list of candidates for years, and he did say he would interview Williams.
