In just two short days the Cleveland Browns will return from their bye week and take on the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots. Just in time for the game, left tackle Greg Robinson told the media today that he has spoken to general manager John Dorsey and has been benched.
Clevelanddotcom’s Mary Kay Cabot reported earlier last week that this decision was rumored, and Robinson confirmed it today. It is expected that Justin McCray will get the start at left tackle with Robinson set to see the bench.
McCray was acquired by the Browns at the end of training camp as teams were set to make their cutdowns; Dorsey swapped undisclosed 2020 picks with the Green Bay Packers in order to obtain McCray, and now he is set to make his second start of the season for the Browns.
