If it were not for bad luck, Cleveland Browns safety Grant Delpit would seemingly have no luck at all.
The second-year safety, who missed all of the 2020 season after suffering an Achilles injury in training camp, left practice on Wednesday after reaggravating his right hamstring injury. Delpit had just returned to practice on Tuesday after missing two weeks with an injury to the same hamstring.
In an interesting twist of fate, Delpit spoke to the media prior to Wednesday’s practice and talked about the need for the entire defense to be healthy when the season opens on September 12 (quotes via The Beacon Journal):
“I’m waiting on the day that we’re all healthy [on defense].
