CLEVELAND: The Browns are three-quarters of the way toward becoming just the second team in NFL history to finish a season 0-16.
They fell 27-13 to the New York Giants on Sunday at FirstEnergy Stadium to limp into their Dec. 4 bye with a record of 0-12. The Detroit Lions went 0-16 in 2008, and the Browns continue to flirt with matching their futility.
The Giants (8-3) let the Browns hang around for more than three quarters, but as usual, they failed to capitalize.
They have suffered 15 consecutive defeats dating back to last season. They have lost 22 of their past 23 games and 30 of the past 33.
