Former Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens wide out Michael Jackson was killed in a motorcycle accident Friday in his hometown of Tangipahoa, Louisiana.
Police told ESPN that the 48-year-old “was traveling at a high rate of speed around 1 a.m. Friday when it crashed into a car that was backing out of a parking space and into both lanes of the highway, police said.”
The former Browns receiver hit the drivers side door and both he and the driver of the car were killed.
“Today, our hearts are saddened by the awful news involving Michael,” Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome said.
