Former Browns, Kent State standout Josh Cribbs announces retirement from NFL

Josh Cribbs transitioned from a dual-threat quarterback at Kent State to one of the best returners in NFL history.

Now he’s retired and will be remembered as a Browns legend.

“I’m grateful to officially retire a Cleveland Brown,” Cribbs announced Wednesday in a video on Uninterrupted.com. “Thank you, Cleveland, and God bless.”

Cribbs, 33, last played in 2014 for the Indianapolis Colts. He was with the New York Jets in 2013.

But Cribbs built his legacy during his eight seasons with the Browns, who signed him as an undrafted free agent from KSU in 2005.
