BEREA, Ohio – Browns special teams coordinator Chris Tabor worries the NFL's new 33-yard PAT, approved by owners Tuesday, will have a greater impact on cold-weather, outdoor teams.
His concerns are valid. But when your team scores three offensive touchdowns in December, as the Browns did a season ago, those additional 13 yards are about as indistinguishable as the club's old and new logos.
In other words, what really puts the Browns at a competitive disadvantage is not celebrating enough TDs. It's been that way since the football gods made Derek Anderson a one-year wonder in 2007.
