FRISCO, Texas -- Perhaps some time before kickoff Sunday, Jason Garrett will close his eyes inside FirstEnergy Stadium and hear the echoes of Cleveland Municipal Stadium.
The old stadium by Lake Erie is gone, replaced by a newer, nicer stadium for when the Cleveland Browns returned to the NFL in 1999. But as he walks around, the Dallas Cowboys' coach might see in his mind Brian Sipe throwing a post-pass to Reggie Rucker. He might see Sam Rutigliano on the sideline, hands on his knees, imploring his team to make a play. He might look to one end of the stadium and see the old baseball press box his family would sit in because there were so many kids and think of the hot dogs he would sneak to his buddies at the game.
