DeShone Kizer audibles into failed sneak, but Hue Jackson takes the fall for it after 38-24 loss to Lions

DETROIT, Mich. -- Hue Jackson approached DeShone Kizer at his locker after Sunday's 38-24 loss to the Lions and informed he had just taken blame for the audibled sneak at the end of the first half.

When the rookie QB stepped up to the podium shortly thereafter, mum was the word that he changed the play.

The coach wanted Kizer out of the line of fire, and the QB obeyed.

"Doesn't matter (if he audibled),'' said Jackson. "It's on me. To go 'round and 'round about it, I'm not going to do that. Anything that happens with our offensive football team is my responsibility, so that's on me.
