The plan has always been for Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson to play in Saturday’s preseason finale against the Seattle Seahawks.
Or, perhaps more accurately, the plan was for Watson to play as long as he had no setbacks in his recovery from the shoulder surgery that ended his 2023 season after playing in just six games. And, of course, there is the issue of giving Watson the best chance possible of making it out of the game in one piece so he will be ready for the Dallas Cowboys on September 8.
