Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson has been mostly out of sight and out of mind while recovering from the right Achilles tendon tear that ended his season after seven games.
He popped back up on Friday, however, when the NFL announced that it was closing its investigation into the latest sexual assault allegations against Watson. The civil lawsuit, which was filed in early September, accused Watson of sexual assault and battery in October 2020 when he was still playing for the Houston Texans.
In October of this year, Tony Buzbee, the attorney for the woman in the case, and Rusty Hardin, the attorney for Watson, reported that the case had been resolved through a confidential settlement.
