The rookies, quarterbacks and injured veterans reported to training camp Monday, but one member of the Cleveland Browns stole the day’s headlines.
Wide receiver Josh Gordon was reinstated by Roger Goodell, although he will have to serve a four-game suspension to start the season. The reinstatement changes the landscape of the team’s offense, setting up Gordon and rookie Corey Coleman as the presumptive leading receivers this year. Along with Gary Barnidge and Duke Johnson on the field, the offense was given a major upgrade with the news.
The return of Gordon will continue to dominate the news cycle, but the speculation surrounding the team before camp officially begins on Friday will continue until the full team takes the field to begin the new era under Hue Jackson.
