Damarious Randall was one of the biggest surprises for the Cleveland Browns during the 2018 season because of how well he played in his first season at safety in the NFL.
Randall played his first three seasons at cornerback prior to joining the Browns, but never was able to generate continued success. When the Browns traded for the 26-year-old in March 2018, they saw an opportunity to move him to his college position at safety and potentially help him improve.
In his first year with the Browns, Randall became a leader for the defense and played a huge role in the defense’s success.
