The Cleveland Browns were eliminated from playoff contention following their Week 16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. After their roller coaster ride of a season, not making the playoffs was not a surprise.
However, despite all of the expectations during training camp, the team should have seen this possibility coming. Even with all of the talent they compiled, there was a good chance of this coming.
One of the biggest reasons the Browns were expected to struggle was because of Freddie Kitchens' lack of experience as a head coach. Even after all of his time coaching in the NFL, it was clear he was not ready to be a head coach.
