In his first press conference as the Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator, Alex Van Pelt was not afraid to candidly answer questions. His most revealing answer is how much he wants to improve Baker Mayfield's footwork.
One of the other more notable answers from Van Pelt was when he was discussing Cleveland's star receivers. Although they were not the dynamic duo they were expected to be in their first season in the NFL together, Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. were a large part of the Browns offense in 2019.
Some believe one of the biggest reasons for the Browns offensive struggles in 2019 was the game plan relied on Beckham and Landry too much.
