The Cleveland Browns were dealt a blow during the 2018 offseason when future Hall of Fame left tackle Joe Thomas announced his retirement. With the announcement occurring on the eve of free agency, the Browns were forced to scramble to find his replacement.
After missing on Nate Solder in free agency, the Browns had to find their replacement for Thomas in the draft, ultimately landing on Austin Corbett. But after Corbett was traded on Tuesday, it is clear he was the wrong man to be Thomas’ successor.
Greg Robinson was expected to fill the role until the Browns could find their future left tackle.
