The Cleveland Browns made a pair of unsurprising decisions on Wednesday, releasing linebacker Karlos Dansby and wide receiver Dwayne Bowe.
The 12-year veteran was arguably the team’s best defensive player in 2015, finishing the year with 108 tackles, three interceptions (two returned for touchdowns) and two forced fumbles.
“We want to thank Karlos for his service to the Cleveland Browns during the past two seasons,” Browns executive vice president of football operations Sashi Brown said in a team statement. “He was a dedicated, hard-working leader of our defense and we wish him the best as he continues his career.
