Clay Matthews was once an incredible talent for the Cleveland Browns on the defensive side of the ball.
During his career in Cleveland, the linebacker appeared in 232 games out of 278 total for his career. As a Brown, he recorded over 1,400 tackles in sixteen seasons, making him one of the league’s elite outside linebackers.
This coming season, the Browns will honor Matthews by inducting him into their Ring of Honor at FirstEnergy Stadium.
Matthews will be sharing the Ring of Honor with elite talents such as former Browns running back Jim Brown, coach Paul Brown, kicker/offensive lineman Lou Groza, and quarterback Otto Graham (who is also getting a statue this year).
