The Cleveland Browns, apparently looking to corner the market on wide receivers the way that Mortimer and Randolph Duke once tried to corner the frozen concentrated orange juice market, have signed wide receiver David Richards.
The team announced the move on its website.
The transaction comes a day after the Browns released veteran wide receiver Brian Hartline, and once again brings the number of wide receivers on the roster to a robust 12.
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Richards originally signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent after finishing his collegiate career at Arizona with 110 receptions for 1,205 yards and 11 touchdowns in 48 games.
