The Cleveland Browns reached a contract agreement with tight end Randall Telfer on Thursday, according to the team’s website.
Telfer is the first of the team’s 12 draft picks to sign a deal.
Telfer completed his college career with 65 catches and 12 touchdowns after catching 12 passes and two touchdowns in 2014. Telfer battled leg injuries during his time at USC, receiving the Chris Carlisle Courage Award after working his way back onto the field after his injury.
The one thing that Telfer has going for him is that he is a willing and effective run blocker, which means he will fit right in with the Browns offensive philosophy of running the ball.
